This is a favorite technique for learning how to connect with your partner and very quickly increase your skill in making rope bondage sensual and connective. It’s amazingly effective and is very simple to apply.
To illustrate this technique, I’m first going to suggest you check out Esinem’s video below. You may want to turn down the music.
Key Points Of The Technique
As noted above, you’re only allowed one rope.
The reason for this is that it changes the focus away from the technical aspects of tying towards how that one rope can possibly interact with your partner. There are a few ties you can do with one rope, of course, but by limiting how much rope you handle, the focus switches from simply applying rope, to seeing how you can engage with your partner with just that one piece of rope.
This is an amazing opportunity to get creative.
Another benefit of just having that one rope is that it very strongly encourages getting creative with how you apply sensation and interaction.
- What feelings can you inspire in your partner with a particular tie?
- What positions can you put them in?
- How can you use that one rope and yourself to stimulate, tease, and play with them?
I think it was during exercises like these that I learned how to do “sensation play” with a piece of rope, and how to make the simple process of tying someone up into a tremendous amount of the fun.
By the time they were tied, they were already gone into that wonderful place known as “subspace”, and all the play after that simply deepened the effect.
So have fun, experiment, and I’d love to discuss what occurred in the comments! I find this exercise is always a really interesting one.
