There’s been a few things that have come up from time to time for people buying; usually these are simple misunderstandings, or simple to fix. Here are a few answers to the more frequent questions I usually get.
Removing The Core From Polypropylene Rope:
Basically, you’ll usually find the ends melted shut and sealed. This means you’ll need to grab a pair of scissors, and snip off the end. You’ll find that the polypropylene rope is now a layer of “outer sheath” and often a white, almost papery “inner core”. Different ropes may have different inner cores. You’re going to need to snip off the other end as well. Now, you’ll need to wriggle back that outer sheath, kind of like pushing back a snake skin, whilst at the same time, pulling the inner core. You’ll end up with a scrunch of sheath, eventually, and a length of exposed core. You’ll need to push the wrinkles in the sheath back along the entire length of the rope, and when you get to the other end, the core will vanish inside the sheath, leaving you with a small amount of de-cored rope at one end.
This is a multi stage process. You’ll need to repeat this again and again, until you’ve gotten the entire core out of the rope. Then, you’ll need to seal the ends of the sheath again so it doesn’t fray apart. I used a hot flame.

This .zip file contains two different formats for the book, ePub, which is my favorite, and PDF, which can be read on just about any computing device. It also contains a heartfelt letter from yours truly.
(Epub readers can be downloaded as apps from app stores, or made an extension for some browsers, e.g. Google Chrome. PDF can be read in apps or Google apps in your browser)
Click on the download link, and you will be asked if you wish to download the file. I recommend saying yes.
Interestingly, a few Apple users seem to have some trouble with this (I suspect Apple doesn’t like .zip). I’m testing some work arounds – if you have trouble getting it, e.g. download limit exceeded, which should be impossible; then email me using my contact form. If you have any other problems getting the book, then let me know in the same way – because dammit, you deserve to have that book!
New Solution For Apple Devices:
One of my customers figured out what the problem is:
I check my email usually about twice a day; if I’m at work, then you may have to wait a few hours for me to get home and resolve this, but resolve it I will.
I will check my orders to ensure you have indeed paid, and then email you the exact same .zip file you would get otherwise. I’ll probably also collect a bit of info from you in order to inform my next strategy of fixing the problem, and will thank you very much indeed for any information you give.
Another useful note on download links: you should receive an email upon completion of purchase with the exact same download link in it. This link is good for one day.

Q. What’s the best way to meet people to tie up?
A. It’s in the book. I went over a few different ways you can do this; it’s not an exact process but these strategies will definitely increase your chances.
Q. What’s the best way to meet groups or learn rope in my area?
A. Join Fetlife (BDSM social media). Look for “groups near you” in the group settings at the top of the page; have a hunt through there for existing ones. I also have some notes on picking a rope teacher in Rope Bondage The Smart Way as well.
Q. I accidentally bought multiple copies of the book, and I didn’t mean to! Can I get a partial refund?
A. Yes, you absolutely can. Because all the transactions are automated, I won’t know about it unless you email me. So email me as soon as you realize (preferably within a couple of days so I can check your purchase)and I will hit the partial refund button as soon as I get home from work. The payment method means your refund will often automatically wind up in your Paypal account, so it should appear there in the next day or two.
